Description
The WQ Nursery Piglet Feeding Trough is a high-performance solution designed to deliver fresh feed on demand for growing nursery pigs. Unlike traditional gravity-based feeders, this system features a patented mechanical-flow feed delivery, meaning feed is dispensed only when pigs interact with the feeder. This Osborne-engineered innovation significantly improves feed-to-gain ratios while virtually eliminating feed waste, resulting in healthier pigs and reduced feed costs.
The round, self-cleaning trough offers a 360-degree feeding area, allowing multiple piglets to eat simultaneously with minimal stress and competition. Its smooth, hygienic surface also ensures easy cleaning, reducing the risk of contamination and disease.
Built for durability, the WQ trough is constructed using abrasion-resistant, reinforced fiberglass for both the hopper and trough. The metal components are available in standard painted steel, or can be customized with galvanized/zinc-plated or 304 stainless steel combinations for enhanced corrosion resistance and extended service life.
For added hygiene, our model includes a protective cover to shield feed from dust, dirt, and debris, helping to maintain clean, healthy feed conditions and protect piglets’ health.
Feeders are shipped knocked down on pallets with complete assembly and operation instructions, ensuring easy setup on any farm. Fully assembled units are available upon request.
